The Origin

Rooibos Tea

Rooibos, pronounced "Roy-Boss", comes from the Cederberg Mountains in the Western Cape of South Africa. In fact, this is the only place in the world Rooibos grows naturally because of the regions unique acidic soil and varied climate. Rooibos in Afrikaans means red-bush, descriptive of the earthy-red colour of the Aspalathus linearis shrubs from which the tea leaves grow.
The centuries-long traditional practices of the indigenous Khoi and San people of South Africa led to the growth of what we today call Rooibos Tea, for which we mindfully express gratitude.

We are mindful of what we invite you to consume and take pride in offering the best of the best in Rooibos. Our Red Tea Co. blends are:
